Bask in history and indulge in Victorian beauty

History lovers can consider the renovations conducted in the beautifully-restored rooms, one at a time, as you take a self-guided tour through the Manor. Rich, traditional furnishings, polished and stitched to perfection in classic detail, adorn each corner of this notable setting.

Its historical roots are steeped in the life of Miss Fannie Moffitt, a wealthy spinster who lived here until her death in 1955 at age 62, leaving a whirlwind of clutter and confusion behind her throughout the home in the form of cash, royalty checks, and the lack of a written will.

Examine the stunning wall coverings and decor to find the most eye-popping backdrop for your photo session. (Your photographer will surely have some of the best ideas in mind, too!) Toast with champagne in front of a balcony window, embrace your besties before your favorite fireplace, or a shot with hands held walking out the beautiful front door of the mansion.

Make each moment of your stay exquisite, both on and off the grounds of The Manor

If you plan to stay for 24 hours, or if you’d just like some activities to enjoy on your way into or out of town after your package wraps up, look no further than the surrounding city center of Altamont and nearby regions.

You’ll find a bevy of entertaining options, including:

Will you be visiting from March through October? Take a romantic stroll through the trails of Greeter Falls, a 3-mile loop featuring a breathtaking waterfall and some of the best bird watching terrain in the state. Greeter Falls has free parking and is located only 5 miles from the Manor.

Do you and your love enjoy the symphony, big band music, or a lovely opera? Take in a musical performance at the Princess Theater in South Pittsburg, TN, about a 50-minute drive from the Manor. Check the performance schedule and get your tickets today!

Around 40 miles’ ride from the Manor stands the majestic Rock City at Lookout Mountain. Here it is said you can see seven states from one panoramic viewpoint. Additionally, you can find hundreds of native plant species, age-old stunning rock formations, a swinging bridge, lovers’ leap, and numerous caverns and caves.

If it’s warm enough out, head on over to Smooth Rapid Outfitters for a boat ride down the river in McMinnville, about an 18-mile drive from the Manor. Not in the mood for a kayak? Settle in for a burger and fries or appetizers, some live music, or just a relaxing view of the boats floating down the river.

Ready to cross one off the bucket list for your anniversary?

  • Skydive Tennessee is only 30 miles away from the Manor in Tullahoma, TN, just adjacent to the Tullahoma Regional Airport. Give skydiving your first try together and take home the pics and videography to prove it to your friends and family!

Do you and your partner love a flurry of finger-picked banjo notes?

  • Bluegrass Underground in Pelham, less than ten miles away from the Manor, hosts ‘Live from the Caverns’, a PBS adventure series that takes place in a cavern 300 feet below ground. There’s food and parking and plenty of high-quality bluegrass and blues musicians ready to play their hearts out.
